Bernhard Langer and his son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.
The PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded the 2025 PGA Champions Tour season. Played in a two-round scramble format, the family team event saw Team Kuchar emerge victorious ahead of Team Love and Team Daly. Bernhard Langer and his son Jason finished tied for seventh, while fan favorite John Daly and his son John II tied for second.
The winning duo, Matt Kuchar—a 2016 Ryder Cup winner and multiple Presidents Cup champion—and his son Cameron, delivered a flawless performance. On Saturday, they carded 15 birdies for a 57 (-15), followed by 14 birdies and two eagles on Sunday. Their total of 33-under-par secured a commanding victory.
Trailing behind were Team Daly and Team Love, both finishing at 26-under-par. John Daly and his son John II impressed with back-to-back rounds of 59, each featuring nine birdies and two eagles. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, and his son Dru opened with a 60 (-12) and followed up with a bogey-free round of 58 (-14).
Nelly Korda shines in family format
Steven Stricker, former Ryder Cup captain, teamed up with his daughter Izzi to finish tied for fourth at 25-under-par. Sharing that spot was Team Korda, featuring LPGA star and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda and her father Petr. They opened with a 60 and improved to a 59 on Sunday, making Nelly the only active LPGA pro in the field.
Bernhard Langer finishes T7
Two-time Masters champion Bernhard Langer and his son Jason, the defending champions, couldn’t repeat their 2024 success. They started with a bogey-free 61 (-11) and improved to a 60 (-12) on Sunday, finishing at 23-under-par and tied for seventh place.
