TGL kicks off new season with Atlanta vs. New York rematch

TGL returns with a rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center to open the new season.

The second TGL season kicks off with a familiar showdown: Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club will face off on December 28 at the SoFi Center, reprising the final matchup from the inaugural season. Atlanta narrowly won both final matches and enters the new campaign as reigning champions. Before the first tee shot, the championship banner will be raised, followed by the match in the familiar format featuring Triples and Singles segments. Both teams begin with three Hammers, with Atlanta teeing off first. Star-studded lineups return: Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York; Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.

Atlanta Drive GC builds on proven strengths

Atlanta Drive GC enters the new TGL season with strong stats from last year. The team excelled in Singles, leading the league in Hammer points. Billy Horschel topped the league in Singles points won, Patrick Cantlay remained undefeated in Singles against New York, and Lucas Glover impressed with a perfect fairway hit rate. New York Golf Club rebounded from an 0–2 start to make the playoffs, with Cameron Young leading all players in points and showcasing his power off the tee.

New season, new tech upgrades

The TGL has made several technical enhancements for the new season. The GreenZone has been significantly expanded, offering more pin positions and varied putting lines. Additional actuators beneath the turf allow for dynamic contours, increasing tactical variety. The hole catalog has also been updated, introducing new holes like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote. Team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York add to the unique 15-hole course design.
