Bernhard Langer vividly remembers his first appearance at the PNC Championship. Back then, his son was still in high school—young, ambitious, and suddenly among the greats. “We had an amazing time,” Langer recalls. “He had to compete against pro teams—hitting drives and aiming for the green with an 8-iron, even though he was three over par.” It wasn’t about the score, though. “It was just a wonderful experience.” That event marked the beginning of a tradition that continues to this day. “I loved this tournament from the moment I was invited.”
