Team Kuchar dominates 2025 PNC Championship with record score

Bernhard Langer and son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.

The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded the PGA Champions Tour season with a thrilling family-team scramble event. Team Kuchar, consisting of 2016 Ryder Cup winner Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron, secured a dominant victory with a total of 33-under-par over two rounds.

On Saturday, the Kuchars delivered a flawless round with 15 birdies. They followed up on Sunday with 14 birdies and two eagles, finishing well ahead of the competition. Their consistent performance secured the top spot on the leaderboard and the championship title.

Team Daly and Team Love share second place

Team Daly, featuring fan favorite John Daly and his son John II, tied for second place at 26-under-par alongside Team Love. The Dalys impressed with back-to-back 59s, each including nine birdies and two eagles. Team Love, composed of 1997 PGA Champion Davis Love III and his son Dru, opened with a 60 and followed up with a flawless 14-birdie round on Sunday.

Nelly Korda shines in family format

LPGA star and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda teamed up with her father Petr to form Team Korda. They tied for fourth place with Team Stricker at 25-under-par. The Kordas posted rounds of 60 and 59, showcasing Nelly’s elite skills in the unique team format. Steven Stricker, former Ryder Cup captain, and his daughter Izzi matched their performance to share the fourth spot.

Team Langer finishes T7

Defending champions Bernhard Langer and his son Jason couldn’t replicate last year’s success. The two-time Masters winner and his son opened with a bogey-free 61 and improved to a 60 on Sunday. Despite their solid play, their 23-under-par total placed them tied for seventh, just outside the top positions.
