How the OWGR Works

The Official World Golf Ranking reflects the performance of professional golfers over a rolling two-year period. Points older than two years expire weekly. Rankings are based on average points per event, not total points, with a maximum of 52 tournaments considered. If a player competes in more than 52 events, only the most recent 52 count. The minimum divisor is 40. The number of points awarded at a tournament depends on the strength of the field.
