Si Woo Kim reportedly close to LIV Golf move with Iron Heads GC

Reports suggest Si Woo Kim is nearing a move from the PGA Tour to LIV Golf, joining Iron Heads GC under Kevin Na.

The LIV Golf rumor mill continues to churn during the offseason. Following the signings of Victor Perez and Laurie Canter, another high-profile name appears to be on the verge of joining: Si Woo Kim. According to Flushing It Golf, the four-time PGA Tour winner is in ‘late-stage negotiations’ with the Saudi-backed league. The deal seems imminent and would place Kim on Iron Heads GC, captained by Kevin Na.

Si Woo Kim: Experience, wins, and Presidents Cup pedigree

The 30-year-old boasts a solid PGA Tour career, having claimed his first victory at the 2016 Wyndham Championship and adding notable wins like the 2017 Players Championship. In the 2025 season, Kim recorded three top-10 finishes in 30 starts. He has also represented the International Team in the last three Presidents Cups. With such credentials, Kim could become a key player for Iron Heads GC, especially after the departure of Jang Yu-bin left a vacancy on the squad.

LIV Golf’s Iron Heads GC in need of reinforcements

The timing of Kim’s potential transfer would be ideal for Iron Heads GC, which finished last in the previous season and lost Jang Yu-bin after just one year. Kim would join teammates Danny Lee and Jinichiro Kozuma. Reports also suggest a rebranding effort is underway, with Iron Heads GC possibly becoming Becko East GC. A prominent South Korean like Kim would align well with LIV Golf’s expansion strategy.

Mixed signals from Kim’s camp as LIV Golf remains silent

Despite the strong reports, Kim’s camp remains cautious. A spokesperson told South Korean media that while Kim had received an offer from LIV Golf, he had declined it. Rumors involving fellow South Korean Sung-jae Im were also firmly denied by his management. LIV Golf has yet to comment on the speculation.
