The season opener of the DP World Tour in Brisbane is in full swing. After weather delays on day one, the second round resumed mostly as scheduled on Friday. While some players couldn’t finish due to darkness, others made the most of the day to climb the leaderboard. Leading the charge was Bernd Wiesberger, who carded a strong 65 to break into the top ten. German players also delivered solid performances, while Kazuma Kobori surged into the solo lead with a late birdie streak.
DP World Tour: Wiesberger shines in round two
Bernd Wiesberger picked up the pace in round two of the DP World Tour in Brisbane. Despite a bogey start on the 10th, the Austrian remained flawless afterward. He made three birdies on his back nine and added four more on the front nine to finish with a 65, four under par for the day. With a total of seven under par, Wiesberger now sits T9.
Germany’s Yannik Paul returned a 68 and stands at four under par overall. He started strong with two birdies in his first five holes, dropped a shot on 14, but regained momentum with a birdie on 18. He kept things steady on the front nine and is currently T31. Freddy Schott also opened with a bogey but quickly recovered with two birdies on the back nine. He added two more birdies on the front, including one on 18, to post a 67 and join Paul at T31.
