Reports suggest Si Woo Kim is close to joining LIV Golf, potentially as part of Iron Heads GC under captain Kevin Na.
The LIV Golf rumor mill is heating up again this offseason. Following the signings of Victor Perez and Laurie Canter, another high-profile name appears to be on the verge of switching tours: Si Woo Kim. According to Flushing It Golf, the four-time PGA Tour winner is in ‘late-stage negotiations’ with the Saudi-backed league. A deal seems imminent, which would place Kim on Iron Heads GC, led by Kevin Na.
Si Woo Kim Brings Experience and Success to LIV Golf
The 30-year-old has built a solid career on the PGA Tour. Since his debut win at the 2016 Wyndham Championship, Kim has added several titles, including the prestigious 2017 Players Championship. In the 2025 season, he recorded three top-10 finishes in 30 starts. He also represented the International Team in the last three Presidents Cups. With this wealth of experience, Kim could become a key player for Iron Heads GC, especially after the departure of Jang Yu-bin.
Iron Heads GC Eyes Reinforcements
The timing of Kim’s potential arrival couldn’t be better for Iron Heads GC. After finishing last in the previous season and losing Jang Yu-bin after just one year, the team is in need of a boost. Kim would join teammates Danny Lee and Jinichiro Kozuma. Reports also suggest a rebranding is in the works, with Iron Heads GC set to become Becko East GC. A prominent Korean player like Kim would fit well into LIV Golf’s evolving identity.
