TaylorMade Golf Unveils Stealth HD Irons

TaylorMade Golf, the industry leader in innovation and technology, today announces the all-new Stealth HD irons – an unconventional approach to helping developing golfers find success in the game.

TaylorMade presents all-new Stealth HD irons

The original Stealth iron featuring Cap BackTM design for more forgiveness excelled at bringing golfers everywhere better shots more often and will continue as the brand’s marquee game improvement iron. With the addition of Stealth HD, the company welcomes a wider breadth of golfers to Team TaylorMade with a more forgiving, easy-to-launch max game improvement option.

Development of this iron started from the ground up, as TaylorMade embarked on a journey to create an iron unlike any other in the brand’s history. Product creationists and engineers surveyed golfers in the max game improvement demographic to understand what they need, how they play golf and gather data on their performance. Research included extensive product testing as well as in-depth interviews with the target golfers for Stealth HD.

Taking design inspiration from the data, Stealth HD was engineered to deliver performance where this player needs it most. An ultra-low-profile head shape in the long irons drives CG lower to help get the ball airborne with ease – a critical component for defining success among this player set. Progressive head sizes, meaning that each club is uniquely shaped and gets incrementally larger from 5-iron through pitching wedge, help independently optimise the performance of each iron.

An increased sole radius and innovative step-down design along the bottom of the club round out the all-new shape. Testing confirmed that increasing the sole arc from heel to toe led to more shots high on the face, which translates to higher launch and further helps this golfer get the ball airborne. The step-down sole is designed to boost playability by reducing the amount of surface area that contacts the turf.

An asymmetric draw-bias face was incorporated in direct response to golfer interviews, as players within this demographic associated “successful shots” with any result that flew straight or had a draw shape. High COR and fast ball speeds are an added benefit of the new face construction.

In addition, TaylorMade increased loft throughout the Stealth HD iron set to correspond with findings from a proprietary simulation tool – which factors in relevant design variables to optimise carry distance, launch angle and spin at slow to moderate swing speeds.

A high launching, easy-to-hit iron with surprisingly exceptional feel.

“In working with players in this category, we exhausted all optimisation tools to determine the ideal loft for each iron in the set. Incorporating higher lofts was done purposefully and with intent. Our goal was to provide as much launch and spin as possible without sacrificing distance, and what we found was this design strategy often led to increased carry distance for the

developing golfer when compared to traditional super game improvement irons with stronger lofts. By combining this totally unique construction with our existing technologies, we created a high launching, easy-to-hit iron with surprisingly exceptional feel.”

Matt Bovee, Director, Product Creation Irons

While the head was made for slow to moderate swing speeds, performance effects are seen at every level of skill and speed. The Stealth HD iron is a great option for fitters and any player who struggles to launch the ball consistently. The full package of design elements provides forgiveness and distance for developing golfers, all while maintaining a premium aesthetic.

In addition, Stealth HD irons incorporate proven TaylorMade technologies such as Cap BackTM Design, a Thru Slot Speed PocketTM and the ECHO® Damping System, a trio that creates a flexible and responsive face with exceptional feel.

NICOLAI AND RASMUS HØJGAARD JOIN #TEAMCALLAWAY

(Chessington, UK – January 9, 2023) Callaway today announced two important new Staff Professional signings, with rising stars Nicolai and Rasmus Højgaard joining its 2023 team on the DP World Tour.

The high-flying 21-year-old Danish twins, both already multiple winners on the DP World Tour, will use a full bag of Callaway and Odyssey products, including the newly-launched Paradym Driver, and the company’s Chrome Soft Golf Ball, featuring proprietary Precision Technology.

The brothers made history in 2021 when they both won in consecutive weeks on Tour. Seven days after Rasmus picked up his third DP World Tour title at the Omega European Masters in Switzerland, Nicolai became the DS Automobiles Italian Open Champion.

Golf, and winning, has been a key part of Nicolai and Rasmus’ lives from an early age, both competing in the ‘aged 10-and-younger’ category at the Danish National Championship, and claiming first and second places!

In 2016, Rasmus went on to become Danish Amateur Champion and, two years later, Nicolai became the European Amateur Champion. They were also both members of the Danish side that won the European Boys’ Team Championship in 2017, and competed for Europe in the 2018 Junior Ryder Cup.

Commenting on these significant new signings, Peter Harrison, Director of Tour Relations, Callaway Golf EMEA, said: “Rasmus and Nicolai join us at a hugely significant time in their careers. They are undoubtedly both superstars of the future, already proving they are born winners, and their Tour victories in recent years are just the beginning.

“We are thrilled to welcome them both to #TeamCallaway and offer them the very best equipment and technology to take their games to the next level, whether that’s on the DP World Tour, competing in golf’s Majors, or playing in future Ryder Cups.”

Rasmus commented: “Testing my new Callaway equipment during the winter has gone really well, and I can’t wait to start the 2023 DP World Tour season as a member of #TeamCallaway”

Nicolai added: “I’m super excited to put the new 2023 Callaway and Odyssey products into play this week as I tee it up in Abu Dhabi for Team Continental Europe at the Hero Cup”

Callaway Golf announces new Paradym Family of Woods and Irons

Designed for a complete shift in performance from unparalleled distance, forgiveness, and all-new product constructions, Paradym golf clubs will be available for pre-sale on January 20th, and available at retailers nationwide on February 24th.

Callaway Paradym Drivers

An industry-first 360 Carbon Chassis eliminates titanium from the body, so engineers can push weight and stability to the limit. The 360 Carbon Chassis promotes unprecedented weight redistribution for maximised distance, with a Triaxial Carbon crown and Forged Carbon sole that are 44% lighter than a titanium chassis. This massive weight saving is repositioned both forward to enhance ball speed, and toward the back of the clubhead for increased forgiveness.

To further increase ball speeds, the Company’s industry-leading A.I.-designed Jailbreak system enhances stability for faster ball speeds, while an all-new A.I. face optimisation enhances speed, launch, spin, and now downrange dispersion. Paradym is the first driver to utilise Callaway’s industry-leading Face Cup technology. The face cup is paired with a powerful, forged titanium face, a combination that provides higher energy transfer to the ball than a standard driver face insert.

Three models are available: Paradym is suited to a wide range of players, with Callaway’s best combination of distance, forgiveness, and adjustability. Paradym X is best suited for players who want exceptional forgiveness and a slight draw bias, and Paradym Triple Diamond is ideally suited for better players who want to work the ball.

Callaway Paradym Fairway Woods

This completely new construction eliminates weight from the body and repositions it for unprecedented gains in ball speed and MOI. The A.I.-designed Jailbreak Batwing Structure is pushed to the perimeter to stiffen the body, while allowing the face to flex for high ball speeds. Plus, every model has been uniquely designed with a specific player in mind to fully maximize their performance.

Three models are available: Paradym features progressive shaping, and it’s the most robust offering that fits a wide range of player types. Paradym X will fit players looking for our most forgiving shape with a high launch and a slight draw bias. And Paradym Triple Diamond is for stronger players who are looking for a penetrating ball flight with lower spin.

Callaway Paradym Hybrids

The first hybrid designed with Callaway’s A.I.-designed Jailbreak with Batwing Technology for high ball speeds. The Jailbreak Structure, a Tungsten Speed Cartridge and an A.I.-designed 455 Face Cup are all implemented for maximum distance. A Cutwave Sole design helps to improve the club’s performance through the turf, making this Callaway’s most versatile hybrid ever made. Two models are available: Paradym is for golfers who want a mid-sized, wood-shaped hybrid that’s long with excellent versatility and control, while Paradym X is built for maximum forgiveness and versatility.

Callaway Paradym Irons

A first in forging, the Paradym Shift Construction is designed to amplify speed and feel. Callaway’s industry-leading A.I. face technology is applied to a high-strength Forged 455 Face Cup, creating their most powerful forged iron face ever. Each face is uniquely optimised for more speed, higher launch, and increased spin consistency. The all-new Hollow Body design features Speed Frame construction for added stiffness to the body and support for the Forged 455 Face Cup. This unique construction is the catalyst that stabilises a thinner face for incredibly fast ball speeds.

The forged face and patented Urethane Microspheres deliver the ultra-soft feel and premium sound that discerning players demand, and internal tungsten weights are placed precisely to enhance launch conditions and improve speed on mis-hits. Two models are available: Paradym is designed for golfers who are looking for a players’ distance iron with a combination of consistently fast ball speeds, refined shaping, and premium forging. Paradym X is for players who are looking for an iron that’s incredibly long with premium forged feel.
